99 problems but that oasis dude ain’t one

However long ago, when Jay Z was announced as part of the Glastonbury lineup, all kinds of bizarro festival purists decided that hip-hop had no place at their guitar hero festival. Most notable in this war against radness, was scrunchy-faced Noel Gallagher who snapped his fingers and said:
“I’m sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance. Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go ‘Kylie Minogue?’ . . . I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.”
Actually. So what did Hova do to kick off his Glastonbury set yesterday? ONLY THE BADDEST THING EVER. Opened with a karaoke cover of “Wonderwall” [VIDEO] before breaking into the most apt version of “99 Problems” ever.
It should be noted that THIS was his stage backdrop. A+.
